CONTACT THE WORKSHOP →What is a spiked dog collar actually for?
Two things, equally. First, a bold, heavy-metal look that turns a regular walk into a statement. Second, a real deterrent — outward spikes protect the vulnerable neck region if a larger dog or coyote ever gets close.
Is it safe for daily wear?
Yes. Every outward spike tip is blunted during finishing — wearer-safe and human-safe in normal handling. We do recommend removing the collar during rough play with other animals or small children.
Is a spiked collar legal where I live?
In nearly all jurisdictions, yes — these are standard pet collars under the law. If you’re unsure about local rules, a quick check with your municipality is worth it.
How do I size my dog correctly?
Measure neck circumference where the collar naturally sits, then match to the Small or Large chassis range. Add roughly 0.5″ of buffer so two fingers fit under the strap.
