- Use a soft cloth tape measure, wrap it around the dog’s neck a few inches down from the head, pull it snug but not too tight, ensuring you can fit two fingers between tape and neck.
- Use the dog’s existing collar. Measure from the center of the buckle to the current hole/adjustment being used rather than end-to-end which can be inaccurate.
- Gently wrap a phone charger cable, string, or ribbon around the dog’s neck at the thickest area, pull it snug with room for two fingers between it and the neck. Mark the length and then measure with a ruler.
